This pre-shrinks the garment and makes it broken in, comfortable and ready to wear right off the rack. Industrial Stitching Our industrial, double-needle stitching throughout and strategically placed bar tacks reduce seam blowouts and strengthen high wear and tear areas for longer use. You won't find rivets that get in the way or excessive stitching, we build our garments so you don't need all that. Rugged Gusset Arborwear's exclusive 3-piece Rugged Gusset is sort of like rocket science. Guess you can call it Pants Science. With a 3 part construction that extends from inner knee to inner knee, all of our pants give you incredible range of motion and reduce stress on the seams that most commonly blow out. YKK Zippers Only Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha or YKK brand zippers are used in our products. YKK zippers are the benchmark for strength and durability and the only choice for quality brand apparel. Goodbye to my carhartt canvas pants. These have a better fit, more comfortable and just a bare touch of elasticity. They aren’t stretchy per se, and you you don’t really notice any stretch Except how comfortable they are. Heavy canvas… so a little warm in high heat but in my opinion, the best of any of the other work pant brands out there. Worth the $$Only just put them on, but it's almost impossible for me to find pants that fit me. My waist is small and my thighs are decent sized, and I'm tall with a muscular athletic build - almost 6'4" around 215 lbs, and these are like they're tailored. I got the 36" inseam and they're a bit long (maybe they'll shrink a bit after a wash/dry) but I'd rather have an inch long than an inch short. I can always hem them up. They are nice quality compared to similar Carhardtt's I have. They have a bit of stretch to them which is what I was looking for as I climb and the Carhardtts I have don't stretch at all and can battle with me a bit. I haven't used them in a tree yet.....I'm kinda dreading getting them all weathered as they're so nice I think I'll buy a pair or two just for casual wear. I think the only NEGATIVE is that they're so nice and comfy and nice looking that you're not going to want to work in them.I work at an arboretum and a national park. I need pants that are tough but aren't stiff and cumbersome. These pants are perfect. The specially designed gussets combined with the multilayer thick fabric provides a comfortable fit without sacrificing durability. They also look really nice. They are not baggy or loose but fit snugly and could easily be worn as casual attire. I would definitely recommend these. I've tried Carhartts, Fjallravens, and many other brands of work and hiking apparel pants. Nothing comes close to these. Well worth the price. The ultimate working mix of durability and mobility. The 13 oz. 96% Cotton/4% Spandex twill weave allows for incredible movement while still giving you all the durability you need. Most other stretch "work" pants are only around 8 oz. cotton. The Cedar Flex Pants are the first true, heavy duty work pants at 13 oz cotton. The double knee and rear heel panels offer added protection in high wear areas. Front pockets with a ledge to hang a knife or tape measure, rear patch pockets, signature utility front pocket and rear utility welt pocket (fits most phones) offer plenty of storage. Updated, modern fit with straight leg and a boot friendly work cuff. These are awesome pants. I compete in powerlifting and as a results have large thighs/butt which makes finding pants that fit challenging. These fit me very well (I'm about 6'1", 215 got 36x32) and the fabric is awesome; just the right amount of stretch. I love the fit and fabric so much that I just asked arborwear if there are any plans to make a dressier version. For now, if you're looking for a pair of comfortable double knee work pants, these are a great choice. They fit me much better than a similar offering from carhartt or dickies.Super tough material is what I was looking for, and these are tough and very comfortable as well! I use them for hunting cutting wood etc in the fall and winter and they are ideal. I am leaner, and these actually fit right and stay on without a belt! Bought a second pair, green, which I really like!I'm a tall and lean lady, so I thought to go for the men's pant. For work pants, all my favorites in the past have been mens' pants, womens' are just too spacious for me. That said, the 30W is the smallest size in Arborwear's Cedar Flex, and even with a belt, it's too big for me. If they offered a 28x28 or even 29x29, I'd buy in a hot minute because they're comfortable (I'd even say cozy) and the quality is just gorgeous. The fabric is soft but heavy duty and it's easy to squat and bend. They'd fit beautifully if they were a size or two smaller. This is my first Arborwear purchase and I was not disappointed. The fabric is tough and comfortable. My main objective when selecting these pants was to use everyday in an outdoor environment. They will get dirty and they will get roughed up - but I am certain they can endure my tasks with ease.I bought these to replace my standard Carhartt double front dungaree pants as I thought the stretch in the Cedar pants would be awesome. My observations is that these pants feel heavier and warmer than the Carhartts. Also the Cedar pants are baggier in the legs, so much of the increased mobility of the Cedars over the Carhartts is due to the baggier legs and not only the stretchy fabric. I prefer the fit of the Carhartts much better personally but I'm quite slim. I've only had them a few months so I can't comment on durability but I imagine it's comparable to the Carhartts. I also recently bought a pair of 9.5oz Arborwear lightwear originals. I prefer these over the Cedars. Again, the legs are baggier than I'm used to so the mobility is sufficient and they're much lighter than the Cedars. It is summer so perhaps I'll like the Cedars more in the winter. I'm an arborist and work outside climbing trees all day so mobility is important. I imagine a stretchy lightweight original would be most ideal in my world, maybe Arborwear will make those one day. Overall, the pants are Ok but not as stoked as I thought I'd be. I'd buy the lightweight originals over the Cedars again in the future.
